Here’s a catch up video. Two weeks in one. Rich reviews Scream Queens. Problems with Blue Apron have us considering cancelling our subscription. Our friend Marc showed up again. Mostly to drink my wine. Then I go on a rant about why I dislike religious proselytizers who go door to door. And we wrapped things up at the Castro Street Fair.
Discovered a big leak in the garage Monday then didn’t record anything else until Wednesday. Food, cats, friends, and cute boys in short shorts. So much fun.
Labor Day week. Brutal heatwave hit. Got jarred out of bed by the fire alarm. Turned out a sprinkler in the parking garage went off. Big mess but no real danger. Lots of cute cat shots, too
Start of Fall classes later in the week. So the week felt a bit schizophrenic, relaxing to start then frantic. Checked out the new-ish Drive Now i3 Rex. Interesting if only because the dark cloth interior isn’t otherwise offered in North America. Cute cat antics ahead.
First week back from Hawaii. Love the cool, foggy weather. Cat cute overload. Found Anchor Meyer Lemon Lager. Bitched about the lack of LGBT protections across the country. Then happened upon an i8 wrapped in matte orange—not a good thing.
Final morning of our Oahu break. Four days turned out to be the perfect amount of time. Some last glimpses of Waikiki beach then checked out of the hotel and explored the Bishop Museum before heading to the airport. Flight home went by fast. Alaska Airlines proved great on both legs. Don’t take us as extravagant either. First class out of San Jose actually turned out cheaper than coach from SFO. Now back to our regularly scheduled vlogs.
Day 3 of our Oahu break. Spent the day in Honolulu. Started with an early morning swim at Waikiki. Then hit the Aloha Tower, the Iolani Palace, the Honolulu Museum of Art, and the Museum’s Spaulding House. Finally had dinner at Alan Wong’s Honolulu. Went in with high expectations and they blew us away.
Day 2 of our Oahu trip. We headed to the North Shore. Saw coffee growing. Had an obligatory shave ice. Decent lunch at Turtle Bay. And marveled at the lush beauty of Oahu’s windward side.
Day 1 of a quick Oahu getaway. We lucked into a nice last-minute fare and decided why not. Monday was all about getting to San Jose airport, flying to Honolulu, seeing Pearl Harbor and the USS Arizona memorial, and checking into our Waikiki digs. Then a gorgeous sunset capped the day off nicely.
A catch-up video. The end of July and early August turned out quite busy. We had a steady stream of visitors. And I landed in the ER again. Never fear though, the issue proved very temporary. Finally we discovered that you can get great parking at Muir Woods with an EV.
