Day 1 of a quick Oahu getaway. We lucked into a nice last-minute fare and decided why not. Monday was all about getting to San Jose airport, flying to Honolulu, seeing Pearl Harbor and the USS Arizona memorial, and checking into our Waikiki digs. Then a gorgeous sunset capped the day off nicely.
A catch-up video. The end of July and early August turned out quite busy. We had a steady stream of visitors. And I landed in the ER again. Never fear though, the issue proved very temporary. Finally we discovered that you can get great parking at Muir Woods with an EV.
Weird week. It rained. Yes, in July. I did a photo lineup trying to identify the cretin who robbed our HOA. Don’t think I was successful. Got a new haircut and continued the Puck duties.
Holiday weekend seemed like a good excuse to relapse into the vlog. Rich and I spent the 4th at home in traditional San Francisco style—foggy and cold. Took on Puck duty. Cooked a lot. Then caught up with long-time pal Vince and got to know his boyfriend Scott over a boozy Sunday brunch.
Got behind on editing so I’m combining most of June into a single video. Highlights include a lunch with the very cute Justin, summer classes start, a robbery at our complex, and a bad lunch plus tacky car on the peninsula.
Took a long weekend and went to see my family in San Antonio. Back-to-back pleasant flights on United. Maybe the merger issues are in the past finally. Once back in San Francisco, I tried to get back into the swing of daily (more or less) recording. Feeling pretty good considering, a rough day or two along the way notwithstanding.
My temporary bachelor act continued the first part of the week. But Rich got back on Friday and everything started to feel normal again. We celebrated his return and Matt’s new job with some bubbly. Then took a day trip to Sonoma and saw a real redheaded woodpecker in nature. My first time. And as if the weekend couldn’t get any better, I got to go return hangers at Ikea. Yes, I do lead the glamorous life.
