Reason #3756 Why I Don’t Use A PC

Got this message at the office yesterday. The stupid premature time change happened over a week ago, right?

Attention Staff:

Additional patches and updates were installed on the network over the weekend to resolve issues with the incorrect system clock and incorrect appointment times in Outlook on PCs.

If your system still shows the incorrect time, you must restart your computer at least twice. If you do not restart your computer, the changes will not take effect.

Restart twice is my favorite part.

    The stuff we had to do to get our (*&#$^# server at work to deal with the time change was ridiculous. And in the end, everybody’s appointments in Outlook were all screwed up anyway! The official instructions from Microsoft were to have everyone print out their calendars instead of relying on Outlook!

    Meanwhile, my PowerBook changed over perfectly with nary a peep. Yay.
