Another quiet Sunday. Ran out of coffee in the morning so I had to go out before I was really awake. Then we spent the afternoon with Matt and Miguel getting the brief on caring for Puck, who we’ll be checking in on while they’re off to Chicago for a few days. Bonus: watch me bitch about the dust that Apple left under the iMac’s glass after replacing the hard drive.
Talking about my dad still going strong on his 76th birthday this morning. Then jump to our evening with Matt and Miguel who brought us delicious cupcakes. And my very butch husband.
Remnants of the damn cold still haunt my head. Gray day so I laid low. Show off some of the lovely tea that our friend Sean brought us from Korea. And I go on too long about the new Paul McCartney album “Kisses On The Bottom.” Hint: It’s fantastic. Plus Rich comes home and starts to take off his pants. Who says marriage gets dull after 24 years?
Got a lot of stuff done today. Or had it done. Kitchen faucet. Lunch. Shopping. Watching Top Gear. Reviewing Superbowl ads and Madonna’s halftime show. And of course some cute shots of the cats. Too predictable?
Started recording on Saturday the 4th. Then things went kind of haywire when I couldn’t get into Nopalito for lunch. I just grabbed a quick alternative and went home to nap. Forgot to record anything else until Sunday morning. As luck would have it, I was meeting up with Darren and Zach for lunch so we tried Nopalito again. Rich is coming down with my cold so he stayed home to nap. Also lots of extended scenes playing with the cats. Too cute. Pretty much sums up our weekend.
Yes, I managed to break this cold’s NyQuil habit cold turkey. Though the congestion is still hanging around a bit as my extra pretty voice proves. Otherwise ordinary Friday. Breakfast. Errands. Cats. Through to the husband’s return home at day’s end and our profession of love. Too cute?
Final daily video of January on the initial day of classes for the Spring. The cold rages on and definitely takes its toll on my energy level. Not doing any favors for my voice either. I’ll take the next few days off to concentrate on teaching but should be back on Friday.
The cold I felt coming on yesterday hit with full force. But today’s not just me kvetching. Apple got the iMac fixed so I fetched it and started the long data restore process. Ponder heated seats. And reveal a personal recipe for coping with a cold. Hint: bourbon figures prominently.
Yesterday’s traffic woes prompted me to start the day vowing not to get in the car and hoping for a relaxing Sunday. Walking over to pick up cat food was the only thing on my agenda. Or so I foolishly thought.
