Got an early start to the day so plenty got accomplished. Husband delivered to work. Exercise. Errands. Some freelance work even. Then got the Touareg washed and fueled up. It’s going in for the 40K service in preparation for something that should be happening next week.
Got sucked into freelance work for a big chunk of the day. So I didn’t pick up the camera until late afternoon. Took a walk then we went to Matt and Miguel’s for dinner and a movie. Matt tells us about his new job then we order deep dish pizza watch “My Week With Marilyn” and Puck grooms Miguel.
My nice normal Monday just turned into a big rant against the Defense Of Marriage Act aka DOMA. Didn’t intend to get all political but I guess my rage at the IRS overcame all else. The rest of the day was spend reading and writing. Two pursuits that don’t exactly lend themselves to riveting video. So more banality will have to wait until Friday.
Better than yesterday at least. Ran errands with Matt and Miguel then I astutely hand the camera off to Rich, who gives you a mini-tour of the the Junipero Serra-Portola-Market corridor. We catch some random jock strap art in the Castro. Get a glimpse of the new playground at Dolores Park while hearing Miguel’s assessment of the new Madonna album. And close with what’s becoming the traditional glimpse at our veg dinner du jour.
Rainy Saturday that quickly turned irritating because of other people acting as if they’d disconnected their brains. Didn’t bother shooting much because I was in such a bad mood. So it’s another driving around and description of dinner video.
Friday at home. Compared video quality of the new iPad, iPhone 4S and Flip Mino HD using a half direct sun, half shade shot. Then the fog rolled in and obliterated the sky. Went to dinner with Matt and Miguel then back to their place for a yummy Meyer lemon tart that Migs made. Lots of time with cute cats and a darling puppy at the restaurant.
Actually was productive on a Monday. Figured out that the scraping noise Rich first heard from the 3-series over the weekend was a real problem. Got it fixed. Then made a batch each of sugar and snickerdoodle cookies. And what video is complete without a cute cat encounter?
Blue skies return. So we spend most of the day indoors. Matt and Miguel came over for brunch and a movie. I did shake off the carbs and alcohol to go for a walk around the neighborhood. Shot a couple of historic homes and ran into my pal Alex. Finally I ruminate on the best low-fat potato chip options because I know you’re dying to know.
