I’ve had an extra mild cold all week. Barely slowed me down until today. Had to go into to school to make up a couple of recording sessions that were scrubbed on Wednesday due to the Giant’s parade. Wound up staying all day. Was losing my voice by the time I got home. Doesn’t make for a thrilling Friday night, I know.
Slow start to my Saturday. Got up at more or less normal time to feed the cats and make a coffee. Then promptly went back to bed for a couple of hours. Didn’t really do much until around 4 in the afternoon when I decided to take a walk to get exercise and build up my Nike Fuel points. (Met my 3,500 point goal, btw.) Went to dinner at Mission Beach Cafe with Matt, Miguel and Aaron. A belated birthday celebration for Matty. Topped off with Bi-Rite ice cream goodness. Timed it just right because we arrived as the game concluded so no one was around. No line on a temperate Saturday night is a rare thing. Today was also expensive car day. Saw no less than four Porsche Panameras then later realized the neighbor’s Ferrari has returned. College students own it. Yes, college students.
Difficult time waking up. So out of it I kept saying August 26. Rich shows his face while we’re heading to the garage. Proof he really did come back from the long weekend in NJ. Typical Friday rituals. Went for waffle after dropping the husband at work. Ranted about the moronic Google bus driver who constantly gets in my way. Made myself less unattractive with a haircut. Ranted about the iOS Passbook flawed design for urban environments. Then made another delicious dinner for my man.
Here’s a quick clip from Monday. Neglected to upload it earlier in the week. Guess we’ve entered the rainy season. A couple of weeks early but what can you do? SF only has two seasons really: wet and dry. Also had the regularly scheduled six month teeth cleaning. My dentist has a none-too-shabby view. Too much time at school then off to food shop prior to Rich’s Tuesday return.
Quiet Sunday. Met up with M+M for a delicious lunch at Salumeria. Ran some errands around the neighborhood but took time to appreciate some classic San Francisco Victorian houses. And, as the title implies, took the time to complete my absentee ballot for next month’s election. Republicans weep.
Day started blah because of the weather. But it turned out okay. Cleaned the house a bit. Documented for Rich’s sake even. Ran some errands. Had to take care of some stuff at school. Went shopping. You get to see me trying on pants. Wait, am I supposed to be enticing you to watch? Then met up with Darren for beers and a bit of sushi before meeting Matt and Miguel for the main event. Camera battery died so I have to recap the action later at home.
Up way too early so Rich could make a plane to the EWR. He’s visiting his family for the weekend. Will return Tuesday. Meaning it’s just me and the kittens for the next four days. Hopefully I’ll manage to find more exciting things to do than sit on the computer all day as Friday turned out. Work too much of late. Wrapped up with some exercise, pizza dinner and a rant against the evil conspiracy that goes by the name of Republican.
Warning: Nauseatingly cute footage of cats ahead. Alice helping me make breakfast. Then Sydney giving my plate a thorough inspection before I ate. Cleaned myself up then off we go to see Argo. Both liked it a lot. Hint: If you see it, stay through the credits. Nice bit of voice over to wrap the picture up. And stripy socklets equal fun.
