August 22, 2012 at 8:36 am | 1 Comment »First few hours in Götegborg didn’t go so great. The Scandic Crown, our pre-booked hotel, turned out to be a major bleh. So we moved across the street to the much cooler Clarion Hotel Post, which was built in and around a historic post office right next to the central train station. Has great style and essentially the same price as the family-oriented Scandic. Art, architecture and no screaming kids. Triple score. After we moved, things started looking much better. Sun even came out. We stumbled into a major festival, found a parade, explored the art museum and generally had a great time wandering the streets shooting photos and video.
I am very much loving your chronicle of this trip. Every time you try to engage Rich on camera and he gives his deadpan-i-love-you-so-i-am-barely-tolerating-the-camera-pointing-at-me tone, I find myself have a little warm-fuzzy giggle fit.
